DiscoverMyStay RENTAL AGREEMENT

WELCOME TO YOUR STAY

Thank you for choosing DiscoverMyStay for your getaway. To ensure everyone's safety, comfort, and enjoyment, we've outlined important guidelines for your stay. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

BOOKING INFORMATION

• Age Requirement: All bookings require a primary guest aged 25 or older.
• Minimum Stay: Two-night minimum (single night stays will be charged for two nights).
• Check-in: 4:00 PM.
• Check-out: 11:00 AM.

PROPERTY RULES

CAPACITY & NOISE

• The maximum occupancy listed for your cottage must not be exceeded under any circumstance.
• Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM - please respect other guests, neighbors, and wildlife.
• Excessive noise or disruptive outdoor music is not permitted.
• Small gatherings must be approved in advance (management's decision is final).

SMOKING & SUBSTANCES

• All cottages are strictly non-smoking.
• If you wish to smoke outside, please use the provided ashtray (located under the sink).
• Properly dispose of cigarette butts - never throw them on the ground or in the forest.

WILDLIFE PROTECTION

• Do not feed wildlife under any circumstances.
• The property's apple trees and wild fruits provide natural food for local animals.

SAFETY RESTRICTIONS

• Firearms and crossbows are prohibited on the property.
• Fireworks and flying lanterns are strictly forbidden.
• During winter, be cautious of potential snow falling from roofs.

AMENITIES USAGE

HOT TUB (SPA)

• Rinse before entering and wear appropriate swimwear.
• Maximum recommended temperature: 100°F (never exceed 102°F).
• Recommended usage: 20-minute sessions with breaks between.
• After use: close air jets, return directional jets to center position, and secure the cover.
• Do not add soaps, creams, bubbles, or any substances to the water.
• Not recommended for those with heart conditions, pregnant women, or young children.
• No food, drinks, electronics, or alcohol permitted in the spa.
• No sexual activity permitted.

SAUNA

• Wear sandals when walking to/from the sauna to prevent debris from entering.
• Sit or lie on a towel while inside.
• Maximum recommended session: 20 minutes.
• Remove watches, jewelry, and glasses before entering.
• No food, drinks, electronics, alcohol, or paper products permitted.
• Close the door after each use.
• Not recommended for those with heart conditions, pregnant women, or young children.
• No sexual activity permitted.

BILLIARDS TABLE

• Do not sit or climb on the table.
• Return balls and cues to their proper storage after use.
• Take care not to damage walls, fireplace, or windows when playing.
• Any damage will be your financial responsibility.

HAMMOCK BEDS

• Designed for relaxation only, not for jumping or rough play.
• Maximum weight capacity: 450 pounds.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING

• Return the charging cable to its socket on the cottage wall after use.

OUTDOOR FIRES

• Outdoor fires must comply with SOPFEU (fire danger) regulations.
• Keep fires at a reasonable intensity and within designated areas.
• Use only the provided firewood - do not collect wood from the forest.

PROHIBITED ITEMS & ACTIVITIES

• Camping equipment (tents, trailers, RVs, etc.)
• Food trucks or heavy vehicles.
• ATVs (snowmobiles permitted only to access FCMQ trail).
• Disconnecting the cottage from internet service.

DEPARTURE PROCEDURES

• Remove all waste and recycling to the containers at the site entrance.
• Take all personal belongings (check all floors, wardrobes, and outdoor areas).
• Remove all food from cabinets, refrigerator, and freezer.
• Load and start the dishwasher before departure.
• Clean counters, tables, sinks, and floors.
• Clean the BBQ and ensure it's turned off and closed.
• Clean the oven if used.
• Remove used bedding and towels and place at the foot of the stairs.
• Ensure all lights are off and windows/doors are closed.
• Return all furniture and accessories to their original positions.
• Extinguish all fires (indoor and outdoor).

LIABILITY

• DiscoverMyStay is not responsible for accidents, theft, or damage to personal property.
• You are responsible for any damage to the cottage or its contents.
• The security deposit may be retained to cover damages.
• Forgotten items will be held for one month before being donated or discarded.
• You must arrange and pay for pickup of any forgotten items.

By booking your stay, you acknowledge having read and understood this agreement. You agree to return the cottage and its contents in the condition you found them and to compensate for any damages. DiscoverMyStay is held harmless from any claims resulting from your rental.
